Un artiste s’affaire à sculpter une imposante pièce de bois, alors qu’un petit enfant se tient à ses cotés et l’observe en train de travailler.
Après un moment, le sculpteur lâche ses outils et se recule de quelques pas, pour observer son oeuvre. L’enfant fait de même, et s’aperçoit alors que la sculpture représente son propre visage ! Il fixe l’artiste, surpris, et l’apostrophe : « Hé, comment saviez-vous que j’étais là-dedans ? »

A sculptor starts to work on a big piece of wood, and a little kid is standing next to him, watching him working. After a while, the sculptor drops his tools on the floor, and walks back a little, to watch his sculpture. The kid does the same, and discovers that the sculpture is actually his own face ! He looks at the artist, and says, surprised: “Hey, how did you know I was in there?”

Ein Bildhauer fängt an, ein Stück Holz zu bearbeiten. Ein Kind steht daneben und beobachtet ihn bei seiner Arbeit. Nach einer Weile lässt der Bildhauer von seiner Arbeit ab und geht ein Stück zurück, um seine Skulptur zu betrachten. Das Kind tut es ihm gleich und erkennt, dass die Skulptur sein eigenes Gesicht abbildet. Es sieht den Künstler überrascht an und fragt: „Woher wusstest du, dass ich darin stecke?“
